SIERRA ODC’s eFACiLiTY® Building rated as the World’s 2nd and India’s highest-ranking green building by US Green Building Council in 2017 has won the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) organized “IGBC Performance Challenge 2019 for Green Buildings – Excellence Award for the IT/ITES category. This is a national-level recognition for our green-rated building based on two-year post-certification performance data.
There are more than 1500 green building projects in the country which are up & running and today India stands tall amongst countries that have embraced sustainability. While many projects designed as green are in operation, there is now a dire need to sustain the benefits during the lifetime of the project.
To facilitate fully certified green building projects to continue maintaining the facility as green, IGBC launched the ‘Performance Challenge for Green Built Environment’ programme. Outstanding projects that have demonstrated leadership in their own typologies were recognised and felicitated during IGBC’s flagship event Green Building Congress held at Hyderabad.
SIERRA ODC’s eFACiLiTY® Building has won the “‘IGBC Performance Challenge 2019 for Green Buildings – Excellence Award’ under IT/ITES building category” at the ‘IGBC Leadership Award’s Night’ during Green Building Congress 2019 (India’s Annual flagship event on Green Buildings) at HICC, Hyderabad. The award was received by CEO & Managing Director Mr Giridhar JG and Mr Dharmalingam, Chief Architect & Structural Engineer, M. Dharmalingam Associate who architected and designed the project. The Award was given by Mr Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Commerce and Information Technology Government of Andra Pradesh, Mr Rajeshwar Tiwari, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology Department Government of Telangana, in the presence of Mr V Suresh, Chairman, IGBC and Mr Shrikant Bapat Member, IGBC Executive Board & Country General Manager & Managing Director, Johnson Controls India.
